Video, Book Link: Lindorff and Olshansky’s The Case For Impeachment
If you’re interested in familiarizing yourself with the case for impeachment from a non-wacko point of view, I strongly suggest you hop on over to C-SPAN’s video archives and watch Dave Lindorff and Barbara Olshansky in their appearance at a Philadelphia symposium, at which they summarize The Case for Impeachment: The Legal Argument for Removing President George W. Bush from Office, their relatively new book from Thomas Dunne Press. Lindorff is a journalist who straddles advocacy and non-advocacy writing, doing work for The Nation and BusinessWeek alike. Olshansky is a lawyer with the Center for Constitutional Rights who actually has been doing work representing some of the people harmed by Bush administration detention policies. These are people who clearly have a bone to pick, but who also have the self-possession and skill to put together a careful case.
