Is Laura Bush the Joker?

laura bush the jokerHoly Lincoln Bedroom capers, Batman!

No, she’s not wearing the big hat.

Yes, her hair is a bit longer.

However, time changes even evil arch-villains.

You see the photograph here. You decide.

Is Laura Bush just an alter ego of The Joker?

Take enough pictures of someone, and sooner or later you’ll get some that look strange. All this shows is that, for 1/1600th of a second (probably—this picture is pretty well lit), Laura Bush’s face was in an odd shape, which happened to bear a passing resemblance to the forced smile of the Joker. Oh, and the wrinkles—but what do you expect from a 60-year-old?

Now, if you did this with someone who had direct responsibility for slaughtering innocents, like her husband, and if you drew the analogy with the Joker’s murders, then you could pull it off. As it is, this just comes off as gratuitously mean. Let’s stick to issues.

A great companion photo to your “Cheney as the Penguin” find:

If you remember the TV series always showed the arch villians filmed with the camera tilted. Both of these photos also have some diagonal element reminiscent of the “villian” camera angle.

I don’t think it’s meant as serious political commentary, John. It’s just a giggle. I should hope most people know the difference between real life criminals and campy one-dimensional comic book characters.

    Isn’t one dimension just length?

In fact, it would be impossible to see because there is no width.
