Barack Obama Wins Among Irreligious Wisconsinites

We’re still waiting for the actual results to start coming in from Wisconsin, but this little tidbit is already in from exit polls:

13 percent of voting Democrats in Wisconsin say that they have no religion. Of this group, 60 percent voted for Barack Obama. Only 36 percent of irreligious Wisconsinites voted for Hillary Clinton.

My conclusion: Wisconsin Democrats who live without religion are politically similar to Wisconsin Democrats in general. The victory for Obama among irreligious Wisconsin is about the same as in the voting Wisconsin Democratic population – 61 to 38 percent.

Whether you have a prayer or not doesn’t seem to make a big difference if you’re voting in Wisconsin.
