Noodle Theology: Ramenayana

The Divine lately has sending its messages to humanity through carbohydrates. The implications of this are astounding. We should be paying closer attention to the food we eat, and not just looking for pictures of the Virgin Mary or Jesus. That would fall into the methodological trap of selection bias: if you only look for the Virgin Mary or Jesus, then that’s certainly all you will find. But perhaps the Divine Powers That Be are sending us other messages! Could be, couldn’t it?

There’s only one way to find out, and that’s for us to begin searching our foodstuffs for messages from the great beyond. Here’s a bowl of ramen noodles that I just scarfed down, preserved in photographic form until we forget to renew our hosting service.

What do you see?
