And Yet I Am Strangely Not Dead

The Protect America Act that suspended our Bill of Rights expired four months ago.

No nuclear detonations in Milwaukee.
No anthrax attacks in Portland.
No sarin gas deployed by pilotless drones flying above Shea Stadium.
No squadrons of flying monkeys headed toward Knockemstiff.

Keep signing that tune….it’s the same the was sung on Sept 10 2001

  • Jim

It’s also the tune they were humming in 1787.

    Yeap…right up to 1812….

    And 1813, and 1814…

Death happens. Are you going to make your life defined by fear of it, as if you could ever possibly escape? Or are you going to reject craven fear, accept that you are going to die, and start asking how you want to live in the time you have left? Are you strong enough to define your approach on a more positive basis — say, focused around life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

That’s what the framers of the Constitution did. The Constitution still stands. It is the supreme law of the land. And if you are too afraid to hack it, that’s sad for you, but don’t shove your fear down my throat.

Sam is afraid, so the U.S. has to bomb everyone who the Republicans say are our enemies, despite the fact that it just makes more people hate us. This failed foreign policy keeps repeating itself at the behest of the military-industrial complex that brings you WAR. It hasn’t worked, is driving us bankrupt and is a waste of our military personnel. Our moronic leaders keep waiting for a different outcome using military means to solve their problems. Lotsa luck with that.

Military Industrial complex….the typical Communist catch phrase….remember Tom…that is was war and expansionism that gave you that piece of earth under your feet and the food in your stomach and the roof over your head and the abilty to talk stupid….
