Oh Dear Me, Not An Educated President!

“Obama has to not appear so professorial.” – New York Times columnist David Brooks, on PBS a couple minutes ago, explaining what he thinks Barack Obama has to do in order to win tonight’s debate.

Not appear professorial? What’s so wrong, David Brooks, with professors? What do you think, that the problems America is suffering from right now is due to professors? You think that our problems are because our leaders, like George W. Bush, have too much education?

Knock it off, Mr. Brooks. We need more leaders who are able to speak and think with complexity, not simpletons whose idea of leadership is to wink and nod and say “Gosh darn it!” with a folksy accent.
