Sarah Palin Big Government Spender On Travel for Her Kids

Sarah Palin says she’s just like you, that she understands the struggles you go through, and that’s why she should be elected Vice President of the United States. So, just like you, Sarah Palin has billed the government so that her children can travel and stay in luxury hotels.

Sarah Palin keeps saying that she’s a reformer who fights against corruption and wasteful big government spending. What she does is different than what she says, however. What she does as Governor of Alaska is demand that the State of Alaska pay for her children to travel, on trips to watch their father in a snowmobile race, and to stay at the Essex House hotel at Central Park in Manhattan.

Palin justifies this government spending on her travel expenses for her children by saying that her kids had to travel because they were working on official state business. How did 7 year-old Piper Palin and 17 year-old pregnant Bristol Palin conduct official state business?

If the McCain-Palin ticket were to win, and Sarah Palin were to succeed to the Presidency, would Piper Palin be writing her mommy’s foreign policy?

I see that Charlie Black and the McCain campaign have already tested the story and that it comes out a winner among Hillary women voters who appreciate a working mom’s dilemma. Here was the post from McCain insider Martin Eisenstadt (same guy who leaked the Joe the Plumber story):

  • Oh, silly. That article claims that Hillary Clinton supporters are now more likely to support John McCain because of Sarah Palin’s use of taxpayer money to fly her children around.

    Ridiculous.

I don’t think anyone is saying that she should not bring her kids with her. IMO, that’s fine. However, Barney, the unethical part is charging the state for it. If she wants to bring her kids with her it should be on her own dime(s), not the state’s. Would anyone’s boss allow them to take their kids to an overnight seminar and pay for it with the company’s money? I think not. That’s wrong — she knows it, and so do you.

But just like Troopergate, she (and her blind supporters) will continue to say that “there’s nothing unethical there.” I’m starting to believe really that she’s simply a pathalogical liar. She’s told so many lies with such conviction again, again, and again that I don’t believe she can tell the difference between them and the real truth.

  • Even more than that, Laura, it’s outrageous for Sarah Palin to claim that she’s an anti-corruption reformer who will cut wasteful government spending, and then engage in an extravagant lifestyle using government money in order to enrich her own family.

Let’s not forget that Sarah Palin also requested that the Alaska government pay her to go to church in Wasilla!

  • I was wondering what other family burdens she managed to stick to the tax payers and GOP supporters…besides her wardrobe.
