Take a Darwin Day Walk

Colgate University has come up with an excellent way to celebrate Darwin Day: Walk and think.

It seems that Charles Darwin was in the habit of taking a walk down a certain path every day, with the idea that this walking helped deepen his contemplations. So, on Darwin Day, Colgate University in Hamilton, New York will be dedicating a path as the Darwin Thinking Path, encouraging students to follow Darwin’s habit.

Find other Darwin Day events near you. Darwin Day is celebrated on February 12 every year – but this year is special, the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth, and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of Species.
