No More Hawaii for Democracy

It was a small reminder for me of what a long path it’s been since we were organizing around the effort to prevent George W. Bush from being re-elected: Revising our collection of resources for progressive activism in Hawaii, I had to take down the link to the web site for Hawai’i for Democracy, which started out as the web site for Hawai’i for Dean.

The web site for Hawai’i for Democracy isn’t there any more. It’s been replaced by one of those generic placeholders that sells credit cards and insurance.

Who can say what kind of activist networks we’ll be looking at and linking to five years from now?
