I say! There’s a chance to participate in some really cracking whale research going on in the South Pacific with the Oceans Watch conservation and humanitarian group. They’ll be looking for humpback whales, but they need a sporting chap with a yacht to spare so that they have a stable platform for photographing flukes.
It sounds like a jolly good time, and the South Pacific Whale Research Consortium is willing to chip in for food and fuel costs. I know that plenty of our Irregular Times readers captain their own sea-going vessels in their spare time. Please, won’t you lend a hand? You’ve got plenty of time to plan for the trip, which will take place in August and September this year.
What’s that? Your yachting calendar is open during that time? Oh, hurrah!
