Democrats in Action!

Yes, it’s true that Barack Obama has whittled away expectations for his presidency down to a pencil point. Just today, Obama announced that immigration reform is going to have to wait until next year, because the reform he scheduled for this year has turned out not to so much actually happen.

Let it not be said, however, that the Democrats, who control the White House and Congress for the first time since the early presidency of Bill Clinton, are not getting things done. No sir!

Let us, as an example, remember how Democrats took action last Friday to pass S. Res. 252. What? You didn’t hear about this Senate resolution? Here’s the description of it from the Library of Congress: “A resolution authorizing the taking of a photograph in the Chamber in the United States Senate; considered and agreed to.”

You see? Democrats in action! Getting it done! Change accomplished! Hope fulfilled! Photograph taken! Next item, please!

Somehow I doubt they’ll do immigration reform next year right before the midterm election especially if the economy does not bounce back.

That’s probably a good thing that they’re not doing it though.

Get a clue!! That is exactly when “immigration” will be done. Just before the midterm elections, with or without an economic “bounceback”.

The GOP has just shot themselves in the foot (again) with their collective opposition to our new SCOTUS. There may not be any Latinos in America that will vote GOP, he he.

Winning, many times takes more than 6 months (the age of the Obama Administration) in American politics.

  • I don’t know what your affiliation is FG, but I never expected Obama to be Superman, just a good man trying to do a good job.
Out here in Arizona I’m tired of hearing the Republicans bitch and whine and oppose everything our new president tries to do.
Elsewhere I note that may Democrats are too quick to nit-pick, not understanding things called strategy and priority.

The White House passes thousands of silly little resolutions like the one you mention no matter who is in power, it takes a few seconds out of the day, big deal. This president faces bigger problems than any other since the great depression and he’s taking it head-on. In case you haven’t noticed he’s trying to fulfill a campaign promise of National Health Care reform– is that not big enough for you ?

Jeez, if I want to read right wing pundits taking potshots I’ll go visit Rush Limbaugh or Anne Coulter. What’s a baseless rant like yours doing here?
