Jeremy Cloward Interviewed By Irregular Times

Green Party candidate Jeremy Cloward is running in a special election to replace Ellen Tauscher, who recently resigned her seat in the House of Representatives in order to serve in the U.S. State Department. It’s just a few weeks now until the primary election in California’s 10th congressional district, so we decided the time was right to speak with Cloward himself about his bold policies, which include funding universal education all the way from day care through graduate school, and defunding the military by six sevenths of its current budget (which would still leave American military spending above the level of any other nation on Earth).

Find out more about this exciting candidate. Read the transcript of our interview with Jeremy Cloward.

How can you support Obama, when we know he is continuing Bush’s extraordinary rendition program?

    • I’m sorry, but which left field is this coming from, qs?

If you want to start a conversation out of thin air, maybe you should get an account on the diaries section: irregulartimes.com/diaries

This is a comment thread that should deal with Jeremy Cloward and his campaign.

Hmmmm I never noticed the diaries or forums parts of this site before.

If people write good diaries, do some of them get promoted to front page?

        • We have lots of nooks and crannies. It’s part of being irregular.

If what you see when you type in “IrregularTimes.com” is the front page, then no, not in the way you’re probably thinking. But, then, what I’ve observed is that the concept of the front page doesn’t have as much power as you might think it does. Many people get here by search, and anything on our domain tends to get very good search engine rankings, because we’ve been at it for almost 15 years now.

Any diary article can get linked to in an article or comment on the front page – but the important thing is for the link to be on topic. Writing a comment in an article about lemonade saying “please see my latest diary article about zebra skin hats” is not a good idea.

And by the way, I stopped supporting Barack Obama a long time ago. Now, getting back on topic, do you have an opinion about the congressional campaign of Jeremy Cloward? He has some pretty provocative policies, if you’ll just go take a look at his site.
