Where Is the Financial Regulation?

A year ago, the Democrats were hammering the Republicans for failing to adequately regulate the financial markets. They promised big changes.

Instead, we got big bailouts for the banks. Can anyone name even one substantial, fundamental new regulation of the financial industry?

What have we gotten in return for the bailouts? We’ve gotten bigger banks, and that’s just about it.

They took the risks, we picked up the tab.

Why are the Democrats coddling these compulsive gamblers? Aw, you know why. Big financial contributions.

It’s corruption I can believe in.

This Washington Post article explains the current status of Wall St. reform. Link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/13/AR2009091302412.html It may help the non-believers in the Obama Administration’s intent to change America’s ways, understand the difficulty in legislating the changes needed.

I guess my suggestions for having patience, because the “ship of state” is a difficult ship to steer, will go unheeded. There is a tremendous amount of opposition to changing America’s direction.

How can a “change agent” make the necessary changes if the “change agent” doesn’t have support from “we the people”?

You may be right about the Democrats, partially or as a whole, but a TRUTH is, THE REPUBLICANS HAVEN’T/WON’T DO IT AND THE LIBERATERIANS, INDEPENDENTS, GREEN PARTY, AND OTHERS, DON’T HAVE THE POWER.

I WANT CHANGE AND THE DEMS. ARE THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN!!!
FOR NOW, I’M WITH OBAMA!!! GO GET ‘EM BIG GUY!!!
