In spite of their promises to report on the progress of a team traveling from the United Kingdom to the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the Center for Fortean Zoology has failed to give any real news about the expedition since almost a week ago. That’s when Fortean John Downes reported, “I have not heard a dickybird from them since they left, but one has to assume that everything is OK.”
The group was on a cryptozoological expedition searching for the orang pendek, a legendary bipedal ape with long, shaggy hair. Cryptozoology is the study of animals lost to science. This cryptozoological expedition being lost itself, I suppose we could call its members a cryptocryptozoologists.
