Read Shane O'Mara's Torturing the Brain Folk Psychology Review Here

Blogs and news wires today are abuzz with reports of neuroscientist Shane O’Mara’s literature review regarding the effect of torture on memory. Unfortunately, the paper (“Torturing the Brain: On the folk psychology and folk neurobiology motivating ‘enhanced and coercive interrogation techniques’”) is not currently available online from the journal in which it appears, Trends in Cognitive Science. That’s unfortunate, because the review is written in a manner that is accessible not only to scientists but also to a general audience. Fortunately, a copy of the paper is available for you to read here.
