One Christian Out Of Hundreds Meets This Challenge

It’s been almost two months since we posted a simple challenge for Christians: Do what Jesus asks of you. In the Book of Matthew, Jesus is quoted as offering the following commandment: “Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.”

christian ten dollar challengeI wanted to see how many Christians would actually follow the teachings of Jesus, and how many were just posers who would sell out Jesus as soon as their religion required a sacrifice. So, .

Ten dollars isn’t much, and Christians, I asked of thee ten dollars. Hundreds of Christians have visited the pages where I posted this test of faith, and finally, this morning one Christian passed the test. All the other Christians betrayed Jesus just in order to save ten dollars, but not this one Christian, a reader from Kansas City, Missouri. This Christian complied with the request Jesus made in Matthew 5:42.

I can have some respect for someone who doesn’t just follow a religion when it seems convenient. So, I’ll share with you some of the words that this winning Christian shared along with the money:

“May you discover the truth of Christ, and that you find it as inspiring as you find the hyprocrisy of man. I’m sorry for the behavior of other’s who unknowingly have crossed from grace to conquest. I will remember you in my prayers. May Christ give you a greater revelation of himself and his word than you have ever known before.”

This Christian knows his Bible. In response to the many Christians who suddenly declared that they didn’t think they ought to pay attention to the teachings of Jesus, he quoted the Book of Romans: “Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.”

Yes, he was the first, but don’t worry – he doesn’t have to be the last. It’s not too late to follow the teachings of Jesus, Christians. You can still meet the challenge, if you have sufficient faith.
