On WV Mountaintop Removal in 2010, there’s still a Choice

If you live in West Virginia, you’ll be voting for a new U.S. Senator this fall.

Republican Party candidate John Raese supports mountaintop removal, the mining process that buries mountain streams in toxic debris and leaves mountains looking like barren moonscapes.

Democratic Party candidate Joe Manchin supports mountaintop removal too. He favors this quick money stream that ruins West Virginia in the long run.

So what choice do you have if you live in West Virginia?

Go third party this year: consider voting for Jesse Johnson, the Mountain Party candidate who firmly opposes mountaintop removal.
