Unpack this, the latest in Senator Dianne Feinstein’s increasingly bizarre line of justifications for unconstitutional surveillance measures. If they weren’t in place…
… two bombs would have left Dubai, headed for the United States, theoretically to Chicago — I don’t know whether this is actually fact, but to to a synagogue in Chicago, and likely would have exploded over Canada or part of the United States. So this to me is eloquent testimony of the need to provide opportunities for intelligence. This nation does still remain in jeopardy.
1. The terrorists would have exploded two bombs in a synagogue in Chicago if not for unconstitutional intelligence activities.
2. The bombs would have exploded in the air over Canada.
3. The bombs would have exploded in the air over the United States.
4. Dianne Feinstein doesn’t know whether this is actually fact or not.
If that eloquent testimony doesn’t have you running for the hills in a Kevlar vest, I don’t know what will.
