In Solidarity with Occupy Denver, Connecticut Students Revoke John Hickenlooper’s Diploma

Nobody with a fun name like Hickenlooper should be such a Fascistloser. But, alas, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper of Colorado is going far over the top, not content simply to pepper spray and shoot projectiles at political demonstrators but going so far as to issue summons against sympathetic citizens who were delivering supplies to the occupation in Denver.

Students at Connecticut’s Wesleyan University have shown solidarity with Occupy Denver even though they are not themselves at risk, living on a campus where political protest is not at risk of being bulldozed. Wesleyan students held an ‘ungraduation’ ceremony for Hickenlooper at which they repudiated his authoritarian tactics and dissociated themselves from his example.

Among the leaders of this demonstration: Ross Levin, an occasional visitor here and a perpetual organizer. Way to go, Ross.
