In June 2012, well before the Republican convention in Florida and the Democratic convention in North Carolina, an organisation calling itself “Americans Elect” will hold an online nominating convention of its own. Its plan is not to create a third party but to use the internet to choose a presidential candidate from any party (who will in turn have to pick a running-mate from a different one) and put this non-partisan ticket on the ballot in every state. The outfit has already collected more than 2m of 3m or so signatures it will need to satisfy every state’s ballot requirements.” — The Economist, December 3 2011

Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild? Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild?!?

Hey, Lady, here in the United States of America, we don’t have inherited titles for an elitist aristocracy. If you want to be called “Lady”, then take your No Labels back over to old Europe, where you can sit around on a drafty old throne, okay?

    1. Hooligan says:

Yeah, maybe we need a “No Titles” party.

Huntsman is electable right up to the point the public learns he and Gov. of Idaho Otter were the main agencies behind the sale of 50 square miles of Idaho to the Chinese complete with an airport they get to use without oversight. Nor will it help when they learn that his billionaire father, who is the main financier of his campaign, employs more Asians than Americans, (his brother who also works for the company states with amazing tone-deafness: “We now employ more people between China and India than we do in North America, which is really quite phenomenal when you consider that about 90 percent of our associates 10 years ago were in North America.” And somehow I’m guessing it won’t work much to his favor either that his cousin was the lead in the Dubai Ports World debacle.
Like de Rothschild, Huntsman is a member of a family of transnational billionaires and has no attachment to his nation whatsoever.

    Some questions:

Was Lynn Forester de Rothschild involved in PUMA?

Does she have any ties to the American Legislative Exchange Council? (ALEC).

I see that Kathleen Teague Rothschild does have ties to ALEC but not sure about Lynn.

    If you have answer, appreciated.
