Wisconsin Presidential Primary Settled This Saturday
Mainstream news sources have moved on with their 2012 presidential election coverage to next Tuesday, when the next Republican presidential primaries will take place. However, before then, another presidential primary will be decided in Wisconsin. It’s the Green Party’s presidential primary, so as usual, most journalists are pretending that it doesn’t exist at all.
There are four candidates competing in the primary: Roseanne Barr, Kent Mesplay, Harley Mikkelson and Jill Stein. Stein has won every Green Party primary election that has taken place so far.
Wisconsin votes Jill Stein for President
Only voters registered with the Green Party in Wisconsin can vote, and the ballots have been distributed by mail. It’s on Saturday that the primary will take place, in person at a nominating convention in Madison, the state capital. The last votes will be cast by 11:30 AM. Results will be calculated and announced that same day.
In other Wisconsin Green Party events this Saturday, Jill Stein will be officially opening her national campaign headquarters in Madison, at 25 N. Pinckney Street, at 5:00 PM.
