Why Is Gingrich Super PAC Still Spending?

Today alone, the pro-Gingrich Winning Our Future Super PAC, run by casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, has reported spending $125,162.64 on internet and radio advertisements expressing support for the presidential candidacy of Newt Gingrich. Yet, Gingrich has proved to be an extraordinarily bad bet. In spite of huge amounts of spending for campaign advertisements promoting the Gingrich for President campaign, Gingrich has mostly flopped at the polls, gaining only a handful of delegates so far, and getting weaker with every primary race.

Why on earth would Sheldon Adelson and the Winning Our Future PAC keep spending money on independent expenditures for Gingrich, when he now has virtually no chance of winning the Republican nomination?

This morning’s headline: Gingrich think tank files for bankruptcy.

    1. t ball says:

That tank was empty even when the coffers were full.
