May 1 Occupy Protest Plans to Retake Los Angeles Streets

On May 1 2012, the Four Winds Protest Converges on Los Angeles from the North, South, East and West with protest actions along the waySPRING IS HERE.

These are the words with which the Occupy movement in Los Angeles announces its May 1 protest resurgence, a series of actions inspired by the four winds. Coming from the North, the South, the East and the West, four caravans will wind from the suburbs and the coast, stopping at various points for specific actions regarding community issues (the closing of an adult education center, the marking of the 20th anniversary of LA riots, the misappropriation of land set aside for homeless veterans, and police brutality, to name a few) but coming together both figuratively and literally in the city center for a united protest, general assembly and reassertion of Occupy’s presence.

You were wondering this: yes, there will be tents.
