Interesting chart; however, from my vantage point the beat goes on regardless of which party is in office. Has anyone heard that there is a purple party?

    • The “Purple Party” I found announces on its front page — http://www.purpleparty.com/ — that it is “now on MySpace,” which suggests it’s not exactly active. Are you referring to another entity by purple party?

In practice, when I look at Congressional action and the Obama record, I conclude that the Purple Party is a wing of the Democratic Party.
