Do Republicans Want The Government Reduced Or Don't They?

I’m confused. Republicans keep saying they want to reduce the size of government. Nonetheless, Republican politicians in Congress are protesting about how, because of the “sequester” government budget reductions that they agreed to, the Obama Administration has eliminated the spending devoted to tours of the White House.

So, this week, Republican U.S. Representative Chris Stewart has introduced a resolution, H. Res. 111, demanding that President Obama not take any breaks from his government job until the White House is re-opened to public tours. They want to keep that Big Government machine chugging along without stop.

Do the Republicans want the size of the government reduced or not?
