Code PINK activates for Anti-War DC protests with Encampment Outside Congress
In recent years, the organization Code PINK shifted from protest actions to educational meetings and discussions as people stopped showing up for demonstrations. But last night Code PINK started an encampment outside Congress that will be ongoing, at least until Congress votes one way or the other on authorization of war against Syria. As the Freedom Plaza occupation did a few years ago, Code PINK’s encampment will deploy daily for specific protest actions targeting congressional decisionmakers as well as the public. If you live near DC and have an interest in demonstrating on the subject of Syria, here’s an opportunity for you to join a growing movement.
