Democrats And Greens Poorly Represented In Anti-Spying Rally This Weekend

Libertarian-leaning Republican Congressman Justin Amash will be speaking at this weekend’s Rally Against Mass Surveillance in Washington D.C.

No Democrat from either the House or Senate is scheduled to be present.

Former Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson will also be speaking at the protest.

Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is not scheduled to be present. The Green Shadow Cabinet has been largely silent on the scandal of massive unconstitutional government spying.

I wonder why the Greens have been largely silent on this issue. I was surprised to see them completely absent from the protest sponsors…

The Green Party seems determined to avoid dealing with current issues in a timely and effective manner. It’s almost as if they’re remaining a minor force in politics on purpose.

  • Democrats and Greens had every chance to get involved. They just didn’t. All other third parties whether Constitution, Justice, or whatever are silent as well. The Greens haven’t done as much as the Libertarians in my state of Indiana.
