Krampusnacht The Quietest

If you’re like me, your life is already overflowing with holly-jolly. I fear that, if I have to hear Mariah Carey sing to me about what she wants for Christmas one more time, I will spend the rest of December in a soundproof underground bunker.

I enjoy a view of the open sky, so I am trying to counteract my overdose on Christmas glitz with the antidote of Krampusnacht. Krampus is an ancient mythological character of wintertime mischief who serves as a foil to the authoritarian Santa Claus.

This Krampus video by Stephanie Dudley fits my need, as it doesn’t preach anything, ordering me to fall on my knees or telling me what I “must believe”. It’s Quiet Krampusnacht.

  • After witnessing the creeping of Krampus.. I think I’ll stick with Santa Claus. You can introduce the elves (take the Munchkins and Oompa Loompas with them) to Krampus. No offense to the wee people!
((Then again, place the Leperachauns into the mix and ship them off too))
