Senators Helping Neglected Football

Banking

Housing

Urban Affairs

Most people agree that these are important matters, and see that the work of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs has a lot of work to do.

Senator Rob Portman is asking the committee to put this work aside, however, in order to consider other important legislation: S. 1842, a bill written by Portman that would require the Treasury to mint coins celebrating the Professional Football Hall Of Fame.

Senator Portman introduced the bill just yesterday, but already has 24 senators, both Democrats and Republicans, signed on as cosponsors. Among the politicians helping to push this legislation through the Senate is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
