Would You Drink Satanic Coffee?

A Starbucks customer has accused a worker there of putting Satanic symbols on top of her coffee.

I’m not saying that I support the drawing of religious symbols such as a 5-pointed star or three sixes, in the foam on top of a sugary coffee-based confection.

I am struggling to understand the reaction to it, though. What exactly is the damage created by the foam sketching of these symbols? Would people react differently if a crucifix had been drawn instead?

I don’t believe in Satan, so I’m comfy drinking a 666-laced coffee, just as I don’t believe in Santa Claus but feel ok with the prospect of snacking on a Christmas cookie.

Yeah, I’ve been wondering about the whole body and blood of Christ in the wafer and wine bit of Christianity. How does this fit into that?

Someone may still be pushing Herman Cain’s 999 plan.

Good thought, Dave. Maybe there was a double promotional campaign for the new Captain America movie as well.
