The United States Now Has Marriage Equality In All 50 States With Supreme Court Ruling

The Supreme Court of the United States has announced this morning a decision that homosexual couples must have the same legal access to marriage as heterosexuals do.

Same-sex marriage is now legal across the United States. The name of the case is Obgerfell et. al v. Hodges, Director, Ohio Department of Health, et al.

Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in his opinion, “It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right.”

Not one Republican presidential candidate supports this decision.

My neighbor has had two male pit bulls in a 10×10 pen for over five years. He says it is time they got married. Equality for all. Seriously, it is a decision that states plainly that different religions have different moral vlaues and this court recognizes the rights of all religions. That is as it should be.

I want to marry my mother. Marriage equality for all.

That’s the argument the Right made against inter-racial marriage, Frank. Are you agains inter-racial marriage too? Keep everybody with their own kind?
