Why do dog and cat foods (especially the “Healthy Diet” foods) contain grain and vegetable ingredients? Didn’t dogs and cats evolve as predators? Do they eat grains and other plants in the wild?

    1. J Clifford says:

Actually, wild dogs and cats do eat some plant materials.

My dogs don’t eat Milk Bone products. After spending more money than wanted on Vet bills, it is my opinion that they are not healthy. This is a play on the word ‘healthy’ but in fact, Milk Bone, the original molds in short order once the box is opened. The mold develops before it is noticeable and if a dog is sensitive to the mold, they get sick, or are perhaps allergic to it. One dog had to be put down due to liver damage, the other two were saved. But for many years, that is a product I will not buy for any animal of mine.
