Time For Hillary Clinton To Release The Transcripts Of Her Paid Speeches To Goldman Sachs
This week during a debate between Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, Sanders called on Clinton to release the transcripts of her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs – and Clinton responded by demanding that Sanders release his most recent income tax return.
Today, Sanders released his income tax return. It’s fairly dull. Mostly, it reflects the salary he receives as a US Senator. Sanders has no large sources of external income.
Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has made $225,000 for giving just a single speech to Goldman Sachs, a Wall Street investment firm.
Bernie Sanders came clean and shared his private tax information, as Hillary Clinton demanded.
Now, it’s time for Hillary Clinton to release the transcripts of her speeches – each just a day’s work, for which she was paid several several times more than most Americans can ever hope to make in exchange for an entire year’s labor.
What was it that Hillary Clinton told Wall Street executives that was worth so much money to them?
As long as Hillary Clinton is silent on the matter, that refusal to talk to voters, when talk came so richly for America’s financial elites, is the story that matters.
