If you assault your grass with ChemLawn, you’ll never see mushroom zombie brains

Mushroom Brains ... Mushrooms that look like emerging grass brains

Can you stand only green blades, everywhere?  Oh, you’ll miss so many things, like these mushrooms that look like freshly exposed zombie brains from a poorly-dug grave. They’re just one example of the joys you’ll find only if you avoid lawn fungicides and herbicides.  A find of surprise zombie brains can keep me happy all week.

Most lawn fungicides are discriminant, in that they attack only fungal diseases of grasses and not the entire fungal community underground. Even these fungicides do not totally kill off the fungal disease, but simply strengthen the grass’ immune system to withstand and fight off the infection. I use these fungicides on my lawn and I still have a healthy crop of mushrooms and puffballs popping up after a good period of soaking rains. I agree that they are beautiful, but I still pick them before I mow so their remains are not scattered across the lawn.

      Good to know; thanks.
