Donald Trump Brags Repeatedly About Sexual Assault. If You Have Any Decency, How Can You Vote for This Man?
“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
These are the words of Donald Trump, leader of the Republican Party and Republican Party nominee.
Any person is fallible and can make mistakes. There is a whole lot to be said about people realizing they have made mistakes and rejoining a community in full. But that’s not what is going on here. Donald Trump does not see his behavior as a mistake. He sees it as brag-worthy. He’s bragging about what, as Planned Parenthood puts it, amounts to sexual assault. Not only that, he’s bragging about the the abuse of power for purposes of self-gratification.
Bragging about past sexual assault is not OK.
Bragging about the abuse of power for purposes of self-gratification is not OK.
Elevating a man who does these things to an exalted office is not OK.
How could you possibly vote for a man for President of the United States, the most powerful office in the world, when he has so brazenly bragged about abusing his power to debase another person, when he openly contemplates continuing to do so in the future tense?
No, the only appropriate office for this man is a quiet, dark room where he can sit by himself, alone, and contemplate why his behavior was inappropriate.
Donald Trump is done. If you care about basic human decency, it is your job to make sure he is done.
