Clinton-Trump Debate #3 Live Blog

We’re five minutes after 9 PM Eastern time on October 19, 2016, and Chris Wallace is going through the motions of introducing this third Clinton-Trump debate. I’ll be posting anything notable from this debate as the experience unfolds, but if there’s nothing to say I won’t fill the empty space.

When asked what makes the Supreme Court important, Donald Trump’s first point and the one he spent the most time on: “It’s important who sits on the Supreme Court… Ruth Bader Ginsburg said some very unkind things about me.” As always, everything in Trump’s mind comes back to Trump.

Big Government Donald Trump: he just promised to put enough justices on the Supreme Court to put government bureaucrats in charge of telling women what to do with their own bodies.

Donald Trump just charged immigrants with being responsible for a wave of murders. Of course some immigrants commit crimes, just as some people commit crimes. But immigrants to America actually commit crimes at a LOWER rate than people born in the United States. Immigration lowers the crime rate.

Hillary Clinton just charged Donald Trump with being the worst, most exploitative employer: hiring undocumented workers, paying them rotten wages, and threatening to deport them when they complained. Donald Trump shrugged and moved on.

“No, YOU’RE the puppet! YOU’RE the puppet!” — Would-Be President Trump

“You’re not going to find a quote from me!” — So says Donald Trump about Hillary Clinton’s claim that he wanted to let Japan have nuclear weapons.

“Now, wouldn’t you rather, in a certain sense, have Japan have nuclear weapons?” — Donald Trump’s quote on letting Japan have nuclear weapons.

“If we could run our country the way I’ve run my country, we’d have a wonderful country. We’d have…”

* violations of labor laws
* people not getting paid for their work
* threatening people with retribution for critical speech

“Nobody has more respect for women than I do,” says Donald Trump. The debate audience breaks out in laughter.

Did Hillary Clinton really pay people to be violent at a rally? VERDICT: No Proof Whatsoever.

“She shouldn’t be allowed to run. She should not be allowed to run. And in that sense I say the election is rigged, because she should not be able to run.”

Well, that’s it. Donald Trump will not be president.
