New Map For Liberal Voters Shows Smaller Territory Where Voting For Jill Stein Is A Good Idea
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article arguing that, while Hillary Clinton is clearly a superior presidential candidate to Donald Trump, she is far from being a liberal’s ideal. Both in her political past and in her political present, Hillary Clinton has been involved in efforts to move the Democratic Party to the right, and to keep it there.
So, voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein, a more strongly liberal presidential candidate, makes good sense. People should vote for what they want, rather than what they have to settle for… unless a severely mentally ill, violent, totalitarian is a hair’s width away from becoming President of the United States.
Voting for Hillary Clinton doesn’t feel good for liberals like myself, but this year, staying home and not voting is not a reasonable option for liberals. The most intelligent approach is to pay attention to the details of how presidential elections actually work. That means that voters should pay attention to how the presidential candidates are doing in their particular states, and vote accordingly.
If Hillary Clinton has a strong lead in your state, then you should vote for Jill Stein.
if Hillary Clinton has a weak lead or appears to be behind Trump in your state, then you should vote for Hillary Clinton.
Frighteningly, the number of states where Hillary Clinton has a strong lead has become much smaller since I wrote that article two weeks ago. On the strength of new conspiracy theories claiming that emails from a computer owned by the husband of one of Hillary Clinton’s aides holds some terrible, but undisclosed secret about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump has been able to convince some gullible Americans to vote for him.
So, I’ve produced a new map of the states where Hillary Clinton still has a strong enough lead for liberal voters to vote for Jill Stein. Those states are colored green on this map. The rest of the USA is colored blue on the map. If you live in one of these states, please get out and vote for Hillary Clinton.
If you’re a conservative or libertarian, and you don’t want to vote for either Hillary Clinton or Jill Stein, the most rational thing for you to do is to stay home. Seriously, your politics are self-destructive. Haven’t you seen how ignorant and erratic your presidential candidates have become? Please don’t inflict your harmful ideas on the rest of us. Just go home, and sit on your hands, please, and reflect.
