Hey, you.

What's the Issue with Liberal Calling Trump Supporters Bigots?Yes, I’m talking to you. If you are sitting there mystified as liberal after liberal calls Trump supporters “bigots,” let me enlighten you. There are some things you need to know about liberals that leads them to label Trump supporters “bigots.” I’ll cover the basics step-by-step so you know how to respond when you see a liberal pull out their “bigots” stamp and place it over the foreheads of Trump supporters.

3 Secret Reasons Why Liberals Say That Trump Supporters are Bigots

Reason #1: Liberals Read Dictionaries

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “bigot” as “one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.” President Donald Trump has repeatedly called for the exclusion of Muslims from the United States of America and has indicated that Americans of Mexican descent are not fit to be federal judges who hear his cases.  President Donald Trump has acted to exclude people on the basis of their national origin and on the basis of religion.  That’s the group-based exclusionary agenda of a bigot. Donald Trump supporters voted to put that agenda in power. Trough their votes, Trump supporters acted to help someone exclude people according to their groups.

Reason #2: Liberals Watch What Trump Supporters Say

In a nationally representative poll conducted on February 7 and 8, registered voters were asked, “Do you support or oppose Donald Trump’s executive order banning refugees and citizens of certain countries from entering the United States?” The practice of banning entire groups of people based on their country of origin meets the dictionary definition of bigotry.  93% of respondents who voted for Donald Trump indicated support for this bigoted policy. Only 3% of respondents who voted for Hillary Clinton reported similar bigotry.

In the same nationally representative poll, registered voters were asked, “Do you support or oppose banning Muslims from entering the United States?” The practice of banning entire groups of people based on their country of origin meets the dictionary definition of bigotry. Only 43% of respondents who voted for Donald Trump oppose this bigoted policy. In comparison, 86% of respondents who voted for Hillary Clinton do.

In the same poll, registered voters were asked, “Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Black History Month?” Only 45% of respondents who voted for Donald Trump told the pollster they have a favorable opinion of Black History Month. In comparison, 81% of Clinton supporters do.

Reason #3: Liberals Watch What Trump Supporters Do

The party of Trump supporters in the U.S. Congress is the Republican Party.  What Republicans in Congress do reflects the agenda of the Republican Party, of which Donald Trump is the official head. Those who act to support the Republican Party with Donald Trump at its head act to bolster Republican policy initiatives.

H.R. 140, a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives, would exclude American-born babies from this country and revoke their citizenship on the basis of the national origin of their parents. That’s bigotry in action. Every single one of the cosponsors of this bigoted bill is a member of the Republican Party that Donald Trump leads.

S. Res. 56., a bill before the U.S. Senate, expresses the sense of the Senate “that no person should be banned from entering the United States because of their nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender.” This bill stands against bigotry.  But not one single Republican member of the U.S. Senate has bothered to cosponsor this bill.

H.R. 489, a bill before the U.S. House of Representatives, would ban the Trump administration from creating a registry for people in the United States on the basis of their religion.  This bill stands against bigotry.  But not one single Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives has bothered to cosponsor this bill.

There’s your answer.  Liberals call Trump supporters bigots because they know what the word “bigot” means, because Trump supporters across the nation express support for bigotry, and because powerful Trump supporters within Congress do the same. Liberals call Trump supporters bigots because they are.
