Donald Trump Declares The National Day Of Faith Healing
In almost the same breath, Donald Trump declared today to be a National Day of Prayer and issued an executive order allowing religiously-run hospitals to deny people medical care, using their religious beliefs as an excuse. Then, Trump celebrated the passage of a bill in the House of Representatives that will take away health care coverage from tens of millions of Americans, bragging to an audience, “Coming from a different world and only being a politician for a short period of time — how am I doing? Am I doing okay? I’m President. Hey, I’m President. Can you believe it? Right?”
How can we reconcile Donald Trump’s declaration of a National Day of Prayer with his celebration of the loss of health care for huge numbers of Americans?
The answer is obvious: Donald Trump expects that tens of millions of Americans who will lose access to medical care under his plan will simply pray their way back into health.
Donald Trump’s National Day of Prayer is a National Day of Faith Healing… and we all know how well faith healing works.
