Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly Goes Off The Deep End
U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly has veered into pure delusion about terrorism in the United States.
This morning, Kelly bragged that he told a right wing political ally that, “if he knew what I knew about terrorism, he’d never leave the house in the morning.”
Kelly then declared that terrorism, “is everywhere. It’s constant. It’s nonstop.”
The slightest bit of clear thinking is all it takes to counter John Kelly’s wild assertions.
Should Americans really be so afraid of terrorism that they should stay inside their homes, hiding all day long?
No. The fact is that not one single person in the United States has been killed by a terrorist this year.
Is terrorism truly everywhere, constant, nonstop?
No. If terrorism was really everywhere, constant, nonstop, there would be continual violent deaths by terrorism all across the United States, every day and every night.
When you hear statements like this from the leader of Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security, just remember the facts.
ZERO people have been killed by terrorist attacks in the United States this year.
In the United States, terrorism is nowhere, constantly absent, never starting.
Go ahead. Leave your home in the morning.
