It’s time to start getting prepared for a 2016 Bernie Sanders for President campaign, and we’ve started a shop of Sanders 2016 political gear to help spread the word. [...]
It is a time of fear in the face of freedom, a time of an emptying country and swelling cities, a time for the widening of previous roads and the opening of new paths, yet a time when these paths are mined by knowing algorithms of the all-seeing eye. It is the time of the warrior's peace and the miser's charity, when the planting of a seed is an act of conscientious objection. These are the times when maps fade, old landmarks crumble and direction is lost. Forwards is backwards now, so we glance sideways at the strange lands through which we are all passing, knowing for certain only that our destination has disappeared. We are unready to meet these times, but we proceed nonetheless, adapting as we wander, reshaping the Earth with every tread. Behind us we have left the old times, the standard times, the high times. Welcome to the irregular times.
Harry Canyon writes this week to Irregular Times, reacting to an Anti-Republican bumper sticker web page of ours on which we write disparagingly of the GOP:

I won’t deny that we’re all sitting on a load of processed poo. But which parts of America were made by guns? The little divots on golf balls? The nooks and crannies of breakfast? Maybe potholes. And raise your hand if you actually favor losing your guts. Would [...]
How do your arms reach the parking break?
I saw this on the street just yesterday:
Oh, eyeroll. My response:
The mindset of nationalist America can be summed up in stickers:
If you were born in this country, you should act like it’s an accomplishment. If you want to live in this country, you should be neutered.
I detect a self-esteem problem.
Remember Herman Cain? No one is promoting any 9-9-9 policies these days. Jeb Bush is, however, attending a private political retreat hosted by Herman Cain this month [...]
When George W. Bush began assassinations of non-Americans without trial, Democrats expressed strong objections. When Barack Obama began assassinations of Americans, without any trial, Democrats got confused about what to do. A few have expressed opposition, but many, leaders and rank-and-file alike, have decided that they’ll support Obama’s policy of extrajudicial killings, even though it’s [...]
