Irregular Times Diaries: Unfit DiscussionIn a time of the spring, old paths are obscured and new growth begins.
It’s when I am falling asleep that my brain most often wanders in strange directions. As I was about to nod off last night, the phrase “Get All Your Ducks In A Row” popped into my mind.
Well, why would you want to get all your ducks in a row? For what purpose? What good does it do, except to have them in a row, instead of in a clump or V-formation?
Where does this odd expression come from?

When it comes to geting all your ducks in a row, I am reminded of the carnival shooting gallery.
It seems that ducks in a row are easier to slaughter.
You want to get all your ducks in a row so that they can be killed! Augh!

The first row of ducks may get slaughtered and lose the battle but the second row of ducks ultimately wins the war.
