A generous Atheist Vs a Selfish Theist

Swami told that Gita says that the bad theist is greater than a generous atheist (Apichet Sa Duracharah…..). The reason for this is that negation of God is – 100. All the other good qualities are only + 99. Therefore a good atheist results as -1. The gratefulness to God is +100. All the other bad qualities are only -99. Therefore a bad theist results as + 1. Ofcourse a good theist is +199. A bad atheist is – 199. You should aim at + 199 and not just at +1.

  Space Observer told Anil Anthony to read the Gita for himself and don’t depend on Swamis to tell you what it says.

  Bhagavad Gita is the story of Arjuna, who does not want to go to war speaking with Krishna, the god who convinces him to go to war.

  According to doomsday epic Mahabharata (tr. Plal, chapter 16), at the end of the war Arjuna says, “Krishna is dead. His eyes were like large lotus petals. Iron maces have destroyed a Yadavas. It has been a dreadful killing! Not one hero escaped. Five hundred thousand warriors killed with maces that sprang from blades of eraka grass. Life without Krishna has no joy for me. Tell me what is good for me. I am a wanderer with a hollow heart. My kinsmen are dead. And I am impotent.”

  Arjuna had this problem because he didn’t think for himself. Instead he listened to bad advice from Krishna. At the end of it all he still says, “Tell me what is good for me”. He is still clueless.

  So here is the math. 500,000 warriers killed. A good theist is -500,000.

  Oh dear, Ralph, I sure hope you were talking to Anal Anatony and not to me. My numbers come straight from the Ancient Sacred Text Itself. I’m afraid I have always been a bit miffed about portions of the Bhagvad Gita. I do so prefer Saraswatti and Ganesh to Krishna and Kali. I have never understood why those Hindus insist on keeping Krishna and Kali in their pantheon and painting all those scary pictures on the walls of their monasteries.

  If Anal Antomy is positioning himself at the Lotus Feet, you probably guessed right about which portion of the Data Swami anatomy he pulls the numbers out of.
