Haliburton has just moved or is moving its headquarters to Dubai……Dubai is in the United Arab Emirates……..the United States does not have an extradition treaty with the United Arab Emirates……..hmmm…has anyone checked Cheney’s passport, bank accounts, realty holdings?

Is there any effort to withdraw U.S. government contracts from Halliburton, now that the corporation is withdrawing from the USA?

Whoah… you’re saying that they’re getting ready to run?
Hey, it could happen. I mean, who did Bush Senior go to work for? The C… The Car… Carl…
damn. I haven’t been the same since that memory erase.

And how will this affect oversight from Congress which has just started looking into their no-bid contracts….

Know what amuses me about the fuss over Gonzales?
Senators who knew he called the Geneva Conventions against torture “quaint” expressing shock–SHOCK–at the discovery that Gonzales is a venal, manipulative SOB.
Who’d a thought?

When one analyses the news reports coming out of the White House over the past seven years, it is not difficult to understand why so many Democrats appear to be mute on the subject of bushcheyneyrovehalburtongonzalesrumsfeld shenannigans. The plain fact is, that the republicans have spent the past thirty years since Nixon, in delving into every private moment of every Democratic wannabee. This must be the only answer to their lack of spine and deliberate obfuscation when it comes to impeachment. What else will explain why the democrats have still not begun impeachment proceedings against the president and his gang. The only answer can be that Rove, the chief gestapo officer, has thick dosiers of real or invented scandals ready to launch if the Dem’s don’t behave.
Not only have bush, cheyney et al run riot over the constitution, held secret ant-american meetings in the ‘privacy’ of the cabinet rooms, (they should be bugged for security and prosperity), they have deliberatley sought to subvert the actions of legally elected officials and use the National Purse as their private slush fund.
The only recourse that the weak and spineless democrats have, is to unite solidly under the banner; Together we can do it. Together we can turn things round.
The dems must not waste time bickering among themselves. they must stand for the PEOPLE.
You remember them, they are the ones mentioned in the opening lines of the declaration of indipendance. “We The People”

Omy goodness. Dearbrit your otherwise very eloguent rant is so riddled with stupidity that I was tempted to ignore it as the random ramblings of a blithering idiot. When one analyse the news soming out of the White House… huh.. what news?
Don’t you see that the Demoncraps are the ones bent on personal destruction? You said the the “Dems must not waste time bickering among themselves” hehehe… nice try - that is all they know how to do. Bicker, complain and blame others.
Haliburton: I have been to Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Dubai and many other places in the Middle East and see the great work that the company does. So why move to Dubai? Could it be that Haliburton does most of the major construction and planning for the city because they are the best. Why not move your HQ to where the work is? Could it be that simple.
No one of us is as stupid as all of us.

You can fool some of the people all of the time.
U.S. law prohibits companies from doing business with states that support terrorists, like Iran and Syria, but their subsidiaries are allowed to do so.
The new Halliburton address, fax and phone numbers are the same as its subsidiary, Halliburton Products and Services in the Cayman Islands. An agent for Halliburton in the Caymans, the Caledonia Bank, forwards all of Halliburton’s mail to the Houston office where the decisions are made.
Clearly the “move” is on paper only.

Sadly, it seems that the White House is consolidating power while the Democrats in Congress have frittered away their historic opportunity to stop George W. Bush from wrecking America.
