Hillary Clinton Grabs Record Campaign Cash

Hillary Clinton has grabbed a record amount of campaign cash for a quarter — $26 million dollars (and $10 million more transferred from earlier Senate campaigns), according to CNN:

This is huge news. It means that Hillary Clinton is going to be able to generate a lot of buzz for herself, and a fair amount of inevitability. Some might say this is a bad thing. But I say it is the sign of a good leader: someone who is able to generate an air of obviousness about what she wants to do, so that everybody follows along. If Hillary Clinton can manage to do this, then I would posit that she is, by definition, a highly skilled leader. And I say good for her. We could use someone who is competent in the Oval Office.

  What kind of person needs 26 million dollars to generate buzz about themselves? A person who is not very creative.

  There is not enough time in a day to outline all that is disturbing about this comment.
  First off, the dollar is ***debt***** – so if she was indeed able to steal 26 million, I say she belongs in prison, not the White House. Not for getting the $, that is legal, but for not understanding what I just said, she will simply flush us all down a differenent toilet than the one we are in. Good for her sure. Bad for us, unless we do not care if we have a planet to live on, nevermind a country. Obama? Still hoping he makes it. Anything is better than Bush, except for HC. I would take more of GW than H. Clinton. At least no one pretends he is stable or knowledgable.

  If you want creative, what about signing statements. That’s creative. And Guantanamo, that’s creative. And extraordinary rendition with secret flights to secret countries–that’s really creative. WMD was pretty creative too. We already have all the creativity we know what to do with. I’m ready for some plain ordinary good government.

  I’ve been ready to dismiss Hillary Clinton as just another vanilla flavor politician, but judging by the opposition maybe I should take another look. Dollars aren’t really “dollars”, they are “debt”??? A woman who can raise campaign contributions belongs in jail??? If we elect a woman president we will not have a planet to live on, but an unstable and unknowlegable Bush is good for the environment??? And that poster Phil person keeps going on and on about Clinton too, even if nobody can figure out his punctuation. This anti-Clinton fruitcake element is just getting freakier and freakier. What are they really afraid of?

  Afraid of?
  Not afraid – but incredulous – regarding the the ignorance with which you write.
  I would gladly east fruitcake every day if it meant the elimination of such.

  Climb back in your cave where it’s nice and safe and all the word and ideas are nice and small.

  Or start sloooowly. Take a class in finance. Find out about the dollar, backed by DEBT, therefore has no value.
  I’m sorry if I’m goin too fast for you.

  Like when I was at the checkout, 5pm, rush hour, and a person said to me, Man, look at this crowd, it’s awful, can you belive all these people – why do THEY all come at 5 and make it hard to shop?
  I really had a challenge keeping a straight face.

  Was pondering this thread, and realized there is something wrong if a person votes based on wanting to vote AGAINST another voter – or based on paranoia of others’ supposed fears – but instead on the Politician’s platform and plans/

  Guiliani is also a liar as he knew the towers were coming down , but how would he know when no-one has ever witnessed a steel structure collapsing from fire !! If this don;t do it , look into the 2 weeks of 12 hours shifts from special security firms that worked in the towers leading up to the attack !!! Marvin Bush (George’s brother) WAS in charge of security !!
