Irregular Times Diaries: Unfit DiscussionIn a time of the spring, old paths are obscured and new growth begins.
Earlier today, Green Party presidential candidate Alan Augustson challenged Republican candidate Ron Paul’s call for the dismantling of the International Criminal Court. Auguston called Paul’s opposition to the prosecution of war criminals “really disturbing”.
Auguston then reiterated his own support for the International Criminal Court, saying, “One item, central to my plans for building peace, is for the US to become a signatory to the Rome Accord, submitting thereby to the jurisdiction of the ICC in The Hague.”

Many conservatives are against the world courts… Bush being a prime example, though I’m sure many of them are also.

Perhaps, instead of signing up for more extra-national organizations, we could just stop invading other countries? I understand the drive to get Bush and company before a court, but first things first please.

Most of the war criminals that impact the United States are in Washington, DC and we can deal with them in our courts.

Ron Paul was the greatest president we ever had. I wish that Bill Clinton had never overturned his rulings after he succeeded him in office.

Um, Anabolic, Ron Paul has never been President.
Ron, a fictional case study might elect Ron Paul as President, but then, I could write a fictional account that elects Mickey Mouse as President. That proves nothing.
The fact is that Ron Paul is standing in opposition to the prosecution of war criminals by the International Criminal Court. Some say that’s just fine. I think it’s downright rotten.

jclifford, you IDIOT, don’t share your delusions with me. I VOTED FOR HIM FOR PRESIDENT in 1988 personally, so I know what I’m talking about.

It was either him or Sonic the Hedgehog. I voted for the blue blur.

What good is a smart bomb if you have a dumb president?

The person writing this clearly anti-American rant may in fact be a terrorist or an extreme Muslim fundamentalist — how can we know? Why would anyone want to make this kind of blatantly anti-American “news” available to the American public?
Please verify the authenticity of the news sources that you read. Be watchful out there!
