Irregular Times Diaries: Unfit DiscussionIn a time of the spring, old paths are obscured and new growth begins.
Ever heard of the Yowie? People looking to gain tourism dollars for Batesman Bay are hoping you will soon.
They’re saying that the photograph you see here shows the Yowie, a wild Australian ape-man cryptid. The Yowie is supposed to be the Australian equivalent of Bigfoot or the Yeti.
They say that this photograph of the Yowie is real evidence of its existence.
If you believe that, then let me give you some more information: In the photograph you see below of Barack Obama, you can see the Loch Ness monster in the background.
Don’t see it? You’re just not looking hard enough.

Oh, no, that phototgraph of Obama was taken in Hawaii on the Pacific Ocean. The last time I checked, the Pacific is salt water. The Loch Ness Monster needs fresh water.
You may scoff, but there used to be a lot more Nessies paddling around back when the interior of the U.S. was a huge freshwater sea. If you don’t believe me, here is the Nessie Cam:

Hey, where did my comment just go? But those big muscle spam filters are letting through all kinds of porn links today.
June 9th, 2007 at 9:50 pm
The Yowie ate it. Didn’t you see it?
June 9th, 2007 at 9:51 pm
(For every one or two spam items you see come through, there are hundreds that don’t.
June 9th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
Fuck the Yowie.
And I suppose for every one or two of my comments that get et, there are hundreds that come through.
Well okay then.
Let me point out that the above author is disemminating factually and scientificallly incorrect stuff about the Loch Ness Monster. The Obama photo was taken in Hawaii on the Pacific Ocean. The last time I checked, the Pacific was salt water. Nessie needs fresh water.
There used to be a whole bunch of Nessies frolicking around back when the interior of the U.S. was a shallow fresh water sea. If you don’t believe me here is the Nessie Cam:

It’s what they don’t want you to know. That’s why they try to flush me down the spam filterrrrrrrrrrrrrr oohhh, help, Cecil, help!

See? It ate the comment again. I liked it better when the guests had enough privelges to access the spam filter and could sign in and retrieve our comments when that happened. And why do you suppose it keeps eating that particular commment…..? What is it about Nessie THEY don’t want you to know?

Hey spam filter!
This is not a link to the Nessie Cam. It’s really a Viagra link.
http://dinocam.sdsmt.edu/view/view.shtml
Oh, no, we’re not passing on any info about Nessie at all. This is about Diet Pills that really, really work this time:
http://dinocam.sdsmt.edu/view/view.shtml
Oh, no, we’re not sharing any secret info about the LOCH NESS MONSTER, ARE WE. And here is a link for PAIN KILLERS:
http://dinocam.sdsmt.edu/view/view.shtml
Well, we know the spam filter is passing on spam but deleting any posts about You-Know-What. So this ought to get past those “spam” filters.
June 9th, 2007 at 10:44 pm
Yup, it ate my third comment too.
While I’m waiting to see whose turn it is to check the spam filter, I’m going to go put on my tin foil hat.

And it ate a fourth comment that was just the link alone. If I post it like this maybe it will escape the dragnet: dinocam.sdsmt.edu/view/view.shtml

As I keep tryig to point out, the Loch Ness Monster is a freshwater creature and the Obama photo was taken at the Pacific, a saltwater ocean. Our nation’s interior once teemed with shallow freshwater seas populated by Nessie and Cecil the Friendly Sea Serpent. The above link address, which you will have to cut and paste in the browser window to see it, is a link to the Nessie Cam.
If I just had four comments in a row eaten, that means my next 400 comments will not be eaten, right?
June 9th, 2007 at 11:09 pm
So if you really don’t believe me and you still think the Loch Ness Monster isn’t still there, you can check the fossil record on these freshwater creatures.
http://dinocam.sdsmt.edu/view/view.shtml
The first time I saw this skeleton back in 1972, I freaked, because I realized it was Nessie’s cousin. See the four big flippers and the long neck, just like Cecil on the Bullwinkle show?
Now show me a Yowie skeleton.

How do you know that the Loch Ness Monster is purely a freshwater creature? Maybe it’s like the salmon, and goes between fresh and salt water, and Nessie just got trapped.
The reason that one of your messages got trapped in the filter is the same reason that the other messages triggered the filter. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it probably has something to do with the way you put that link in.
I’ve got to get to another computer elsewhere to check the spam filter for your messages. On this computer, I don’t have the password for those privileges.

Maybe Nessie was just looking for love in all the wrong places.
Don’t worry about the spam filter, but thanks anyway. Mostly I wanted to post the link to the cam at the South Dakota School of Mines museum where the sea creatures with the fins are.
When I was in Katmandu I wanted to go where I might see a Yeti, but the information about that seemed to be mostly available where there was heavy drinking going on…
