In a time of the spring, old paths are obscured and new growth begins.
This morning, my six year-old son walked up to me with a clever kind of smile and asked, “Dad, have you had your coffee yet, and if you did, did it taste different this time?”

Did you see colors? Patterns?
No, I had not had my coffee yet.
First question to my son: “Did you put something in the coffee?”
A silent smile.
Second question to my son: “Did you put something in the coffee?”
“No.”
Third question to my son: “Did you put something in the coffee?”
“Yes.”
Fourth question to my son: “What did you put in the coffee?
“Um… Eggs and pepper.”
It sounds like a hangover cure worth trying, but I’m a little concerned about the cholesterol in the eggs. I hope he used only the egg whites and not the yolks.
Fifth question to your son: “If I send you to your room until January 1, 2009, do you know how many days that is?

RED DAVE, (post #5), I think rather than “go to your room” which I recall as being a fun place, jclifford’s son should learn how to clean up a mess. It will be good practice for when his generation finds out what our generations did about the environment and global warming. Otherwise our generations are going to be spending a whole lot of time in our rooms once we’re too old to be intimidating.
