Irregular Times Diaries: Unfit DiscussionIn a time of the spring, old paths are obscured and new growth begins.
This far out blast from the past come from the Democratic Caucus:
How much did a gallon of gasoline cost when George W. Bush took office (and I put the emphasis on took)?
$1.39
Can you imagine how much your monthly budget would change if the price of gasoline were back down to that level?
It can be done - if America invests heavily in solar, wind, and geothermal power. When I say “America invests”, I mean the American government.
Let’s end the economy-destroying military occupation of Iraq, and redirect that budget to implementing green power, back here in the USA where the investment will be returned to the government in the form of taxes resulting from a stronger, more efficient economy. Those bullets in Iraq don’t bring anyone any economic benefit. Windmills keep on giving, long after their initial deployment.
Drop energy prices, not bombs.

All Bush has to do is announce publicly that he is going to dump our strategic reserves on the market and the speculators would sell the oil futures they hold and the price of gasoloine would fall and that would act as a stimulous to our economy. They cut taxes but we are being taxed in ways that benifit large multinational corporations through higher energy prices, stagnet wages, runaway healthcare prices for the benifit of unregulated insurance companies. Yes they cut taxes, But for the benifit of who? For the future of our country send the Republicans to HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great, so we can just ignore the problem by forcing everyone to have the same basic healthcare and taxing the already over-taxed
public to pay for it. Just say NO!!!
Please vote for anyone BUT Hillary in 2008, hopefully for someone that doesn’t want to bankrupt the country.
