Posting a Diary

So, you’ve registered for an account and now you’re ready to write a post. But how do you do it? Well, there are two ways to approach the task:

1) Log in and monkey about, trying things out until they work for you. Frankly, this is how we learned to write on the internet ourselves, and it’s a whole lot of fun just to try stuff out.

2) If you want to read up on how to write a post for the Irregular Times Diaries more systematically, you’ll probably want to know that we use open-source software called WordPress to make the site work. There’s a handy-dandy one-page tutorial for writing on WordPress that will probably do the trick.

3) Remember, you can always edit your posts. So if you make a goof, don’t worry; you can go back and fix it.
4) If all else fails, ask for help from someone who’s been at it a bit longer. We all asked for lots of help when we got started, and some of us (I’m talking about me here) still regularly do.
